its done 211k, I bought it at 120k, it actually started doing this after the turbo blew itself to bits. To give you an idea what I am like as a driver. Its a truck, it corners like a truck, brakes like a truck and accelerates like a truck. Mine is an auto and I had the brakes replaced when I bought it in 99 (its a neurotic thing I do), they havent been redone, nor do they need replacing. I brake and accelerate slowly and prefer to ease in rather than plant. If I wanted to drive a punchy vehicle I would buy a sports car, there are several reasons why I own a bighorn, the other half can actually sit in it - 6'6" only other vehicle he can sit in comfortably is a maxima, I tend to fish in out of the way areas, and it needs to fit all the crap I carry when going bush. I dont do any serious offroad stuff, it doesnt interest me all that much. But I do like fishing, so much so I write for a fishing magazine. It gets me from A to Z and I dont have to worry about in between. I have taken it through rainbow track from St Arnaud to Hamner Springs and down some pretty hairy tracks. I have always owned a 4wd of one sort or another and until recently still owned the series A landrover I used as a workhorse/playtoy which I bought when I was 15, ok ok I damned near killed it.

Catch can might help but probably its just left over oil from the dead turbo and might come right. Apart from a little smoke and maybe oil consumption not worth worrying about
