has anybody been able to move the alt on a 4jb1 up to wer the air con sits? i sick of pullin mine out all the time to fix it.

A lot of people have fitted a second alternator where the aircon used to be after removeing the aircon. They only keep the original for the vacume pump. Should be possible but the aircon cant be moved down to the lower bracket which would of been ideal. It will still fill with mud though. Think how much mud you have on top of the engine.

that sounds like a gret idea. any ideas wat alts they used to fit the mounts from air con pump? and the rite pulley for 2 belts?

Most jap alternators are much the same Because the top belts are tensioned at the power steer pump you dont need adjustment at the alternator so its easy to make a bracket up.
