Replacing Timing Belt

Hi there,
I just bought a 3.1TD manual MU. The timing belt light is on so will replace as a matter of importance. I just wanted to confirm that the part I'm after is a T844 from Gates Belts. How much should I expect to pay for one of these (in Aust.) and how long should it take a mechanic to do it?
I know some mechanics try to "con" the extra dollar out of import owners with dodgy excuses for "trouble parts" or "different engines" (I'm a former Surf owner).

Can't be sure that that is the correct belt.T844 has squarish teeth while the T966 has round teeth.Either of these belts could be fitted to your motor so if you're going to buy one you need to be sure.

Took it to 4x4 specialist here and they were happy to order both to do the job and return the other. They source parts through REPCO.
It turned out to be the T844 fitted. (1993 3.1TD MU)
BTW, they said the T966 which came in was much shorter in length. Dunno whether they got the wrong part, but that doesn't sound like info from other posts in the forum.
Anyway, done now. I just have to reset the T-Belt light. Thanks to the instructions on another post.
