Hi Roscoe, Read earl's message (post 19) about the sticky throttle valve.
I think it is one of these things where you will have to start at your foot and work your way back through to the engine.

Cheers..I read this but didn't get it first up..working night shift. I'll follow it up for sure. The one edge we would have is that our truck is manual..hopefully we could stall it.

How can I check whether my '99 Wizard was fixed prior to importation, in Japan? Will the NZ contact answer my query from Norfolk Island?

You could try them but no promises. Even if they can tell you though they wont be able to supply the parts as this is being organised by the association the importers to NZ belong to not Isuzu
