Hi ya Bruce,
Yeh, the idea of that thread was this: if you are in the forum and you feel like having a chat, then you pop a quick post in that thread to let the others know that your in the chat room so that they can come join you. It was popular for a while when Andrew first indroduced it to the site, but not sure now.

To make the chat woork just click on the link on the main page then open the chat. Remember you need java but if you dont have it there is a link on the chat page to suns version of java.
To get anyone in there is a bit harder. I tryed setting up a common time but as most of our members are in NZ or Aus then getting a time that works across 4 time zones is hard.
