Recently bought a 88 Bighorn with a c223 diesel.I was quite disappointed with the on road performance & thought of repower to 2.8TD untill on checking front disc's found one pad wearing faster than the rest.On closer inspection found calper wasfrozen in place. With a bit of a clean up & new pads the performance increase was quite noticable. No 2.8 but now Macks don't nudge the spare tyre & we go over the Kaimai's one gear higher. So check for dragging brakes if your performance seems down & engine is running well.
