ok, after reading all this i'm a little confused..lol.. It's a female thing.. I am wanting to lift my MU up andwas wonderin the easiest way to do it? some people are saying wind up the torsion bars and all that and some are saying just go buy rodeo springs. Which will cause less wear and tear in the long run on my car. I run 18" chrome mags during the week with road tyres which have good clearance, but on the weekends however I run 32" mud tyres which seem to not have much clearance at all.. please help me.. i'm just learning and any advice would be great.. Thanks

Both of the recommendations are correct. At the front, they have a torsion bar setup in which you can wind them up to the desired height. The standard torsion bars on the front however will sag over time and can be upgraded to Calmini ones that are a lot stronger. At the rear, they have leaf springs and if you buy the rodeo standard duty ones I believe, they will also give you a bit of height in the rear as they are a little bit harder than the standard MU rear springs. I recently gave mine a bit of a lift by using extended shackles at the rear and just winding the torsion bars up at the front for a 45mm lift, however I do think that the new springs are probably a better idea.

so what is the size of the torsion bars? as im looking at getting some new ones.
there are 2 as an option. they are 25mm and 26mm. the 25 is for frontera's and the 26 is jackaroo's and rodeo's
and i think they are around the $150 mark for heavy duty from you local, and on that note is there anywhere else that i can go other than TJM ?
Cheers, Jason.

I think from previous posts you could have either but also check the length. There are other brands but tjm are as good as any other so if easy to get why not. Try not to up the spring rate any more than you have to as articulation will suffer. For off road the softer the spring the better which is the exact oposite of on road
