A couple fo questions guys! 1. I remember there being some discussion some time ago regarding towbars for MU's. I had a quick look, couldn't find the thread. I know that the older Pajero style towbar would fit, but there was some concern that the rear cross member wouldn't handle the stress of towing??? Does anyone know what the go is?
2. I've been informed that my brake rotors will be needing replacement v.soon (apparently they don't shave the rotors anymore), so the question is, on a 93 MU, what rotors go on the back?!! Are they the same as the front?
Cheers Stu

They still skim them in good ol NZ but there is a minimum thickness of 10mm I think. It shouldnt be hard to buy them off the shelf They are the same as Jackeroo and Rodeo

They still skim them in Oz too, under the same guide lines? I'd be getting a second opinion. J

What a crock!!! You can certainly skim your rotors!!!
Just ring a mobile guy and for around $30 buck front or rear they will do them at you house/work etc.
The rodeo has drum rear, only the LT Sport had disc rear and there are no listings for them in any catalogues.
But if you did need new rotors I would be dropping into the wreckers or Repco looking at pre 90 model Jackaroos, as these use the same rear pads, so I guess the rotors would be the same.
Dont take that crap, about skimming, you onlt have to worry about minimum thicknesses. But I have replace two sets of rear pads without skimming!!! There would have to be severe ridge or glazing to warrant a skim!
Matt.

It would be interesting to know how much margin is built into the minimum figure.A freind of the wifes hard an old Porshe 924 that I helped rekit the front calipers on One of the disks measured 8mm the other 12mm (non vented) He still managed to get a wof like that and pass scutineering so he could race it on Manfeild raceway. I would of been changing those disks very quick

Got my tow bar made by Wynnum Towbars. HR style of thing where it is pinned and you can put the tounge and ball in the back if you dont want to keep walking in to it. $260 fitted and plated to 1300kg.
