Hi Pissy !
Just saw this post, has been a while since I have really been able to have a look around the forum again.
I think my rear Diff may be beyond worth repairing, so this news is interesting. But still looking at getting a LSD, had you priced a new LSD?
regards
Francesco

Hey Frankie, good to see ya back ?
I didn't even try for the LSD but I remember ages ago I priced one at $900. With that in mind I just waited for the rear autolocker to be released. Bare in mind that if you went for the rear locker to go to diff specialist as there might need to some additional work to make them fit properly? My diff guy says that they are rough fits and the extra work/machining really allows them to work properly. I really can't argue with him as my FRONT locker (fitted only without any extra work) is really is stiff and noisy and at times doesn't unlock around corners( sand and gravel) were my REAR one just clicks nicely. I'd consider $300 with no extra work to fit and up to 500 or so with the improvements (should your diff guy stresses to do).

The locker will only fit in the open centre diff housing... the LSD housing is different internally and the locker mechanicals wont fit in there.
I have the LSD in the Rodeo (ex MU) and a spare open centre in the shed...mmmmm might have to convert it and keep it as a hard-core spare haha
Matt.

I bought one of trademe last week and fit it in the weekend, and so far it seems to work alright. I learnt quickly not to floor it into a corner but aside from that all I can hear is it clicking away while turning. Can't wait till Easter when I can put it to use ;D
