hay Does any one know where i could get replacement things that hold the rear window up in the tail gate? when I got my Mu they were ok but now they dont stay up at all, always falling on my head, pain in the well... head! :-[

Just take them to a Strut Re- Gas place cost around $50 for both. one of the boys should be able to tell you where to get it in Chch. Cheers Bruce

There's bound to be a place in Christchurch that will fix these for you. We even have a guy down here in Dunners that does it. Calls himself "Gas Strut Services" or something like that. I had mine fixed a couple of months ago. It's quite quick to fix and from memory was about $60.00. I empathise with you on the head banging comment. I had only been banging my head for about three years before I finally got it fixed. Still wonder why I never got it fixed earlier. Must be the Scottish heritage.

They can be re-gassed of course if only the seals are still good. Mine are clearly worn with oil leaking out... not sure why there is oil in there? So i've never got mine fixed... I came up with a low cost solution myself which I can offer to you for free, and is compatable with all makes and models, year 2k compliant, no moving parts and batteries not required.... however I have to give you a bit of stick :-)
