How often should you get a diesel injector service?
I've had the Mu for 5 1/2 years and haven't had one done yet.

Some diesel mechanics have exchange injectors so there could be a saving. Otherwise its only an hour or so to get them in and out. Might as well pay the diesel man and have a garentee if things dont go according to plan.
Time between servicing is a tricky one. Book says they should be checked every 50000km. A diesel mechanic I spoke to said they should be replaced every 100000km anouther said change when smokey. Mine are at 200000km now and never been touched.

Mine also at 200,000ks and haven't been touched- seem to be doing fine.

May look at both then. She does use a lot of fuel, and black smoke on intital and hard acceleration.

Before you do your injectors, try backing off your diesel flow on screw a bit to see if your black smoking under acceleration is not just due to too much fuel- have you played with fuel screw ?
