Hey guys i just jacked up the back of my mu and while in neutral i hand turned wheels and they spun in the same direction. when i put it in gear and hand turned them they spun in the opposite direction...

i wasnt very difficult, on saturday when i get to some dirt i might just pop the cluth and check if both wheels spin

g80 code will be on the vehicle id plate after the chasss no and in the options section. This is no garentee as there are one or two mus around that have no g80 code but do have the lsd but dont apear to have been changed. Also it may of been fitted after leaving the factory. It sounds like you have a lsd but it might need adjusting which is a job for the experts. try jacking up only one wheel It should be quite tight to turn.(a torque wrench on a wheel stud gives 60 ft lb before mine moves).

The G80 code would be on the plate under the bonnet, it's the build details and G80 is LSD, but mine had a LSD without the G80 code...

i cant find G80 on any of the tags, if it turns out i do have a lsd that needs adjusting does any1 have any idea on how much this ruffly costs?

Price one from a 89 or later jackeroo or rodeo and take this as a worst case price. They are not that hard to change if you dont mind lying under a heavy wagon supported on axle stands while maneuvering a 30kg lump of steel with your chest. (that how I did mine anyway)

Hi J-mac diff & gears at arndell park in sydney will tighten em for around 1 fiddy from memory but you need to take the centre to him otherwize expect to pay more>. cheers muvit

4.5, im sure its a lsd, i got it out at the mo, if i turn the pinion both rotate the same way and i cant stop it by hand on 1 side.
