Well hi all, Your probably wandering what iv'e been upto? you guessed it more fabrication. wanted to do something different that sets my 2.5" exhaust system apart from the others so here's what i come up with: Firstly a pic of some components comprising of a bellow,( aka that flexy thing) then a collector (aka Y piece) Hotdog muffler box 3 lengths of 3' marine grade stainless, flanges & gaskets: I'll just post the finished painted stage pics as i go. Here's the new dump pipe & bellow against the stocker: Now the box & the first hanger: Now for the mongrel looking bend where it goes into the collector & out to the start of the twin system all with flanges & a couple of hangers also which will be welded on once up: The drivers side with the duel 2.5" dumper & hanger: The passenger side: Now the finished product: There you have it ;D total cost including a bottle of turkey $580. Oh & it has a nice note to it kind of like a glug glug glug sound at idle Lets see how long it takes before it is squashed on rocks even with the lift i have ;D ;D..... cheers muvit

Nice work and very tidy. Only place you might squash it and you would have to be trying hard to do so is the tail pipes under the rear bumper. Why didnt you exit the pipe between the bumper bars? Then it would of been indestructable.

Hi alan reason being there's chassis behind the centre bar work & there's not enough clearance on the end bar work without cutting away that piece of body you can see in the second last pic?. even if i took that path the risk of burning yourself on the tail pipe protruding there is too great. Even thought of chevy drops in front of the rear wheel but that will blacken my rims & rear lower quarters. My other alternative which i still may do is to have a flange for the two dumpers so when i go 4b-ing undo both tailpipes so as not to damage then put back on when finished?, but the dilemma with that is the rear bar will be blackened up & end up rubbing on your clothes by the end of the day & also the possability of fumes entering in will be higher me thinks? I'll just have to see how it goes as they're relatively easy to replace if they get to badly sqaushed. thanks. regards muvit

Hi Muvit, I'm kinda new 2 this forum... My Isuzu is almost stock in the tuning department but these 2 1/2" pipe's looks AWSM!!! Would you be able 2 make a pair to sell them 2 me? I still have the very very original Mu, which means no lift kit and no extra stuff under the body. Thank you, Cheers Jacques

Remember the only thing visable in that pick that is Isuzu is the fuel tank. (I think thats modified) I think the later Wizard and bighorn share a 5 link system

Funny enough out of all the trips i've done this year so far i haven't squished the buggers only a dent in the outer left dumper but i managed to dolly it out back to std. but the colour of the system isn't lush any more More like a brown powder-coated colour "oh well you get that" ....... cheers muvit

One of their writers had a 2.6 ute too.

So for another 200 semolions i've devised & fabricated stage two of my system which comprised of once again: 2x2.5 duel dumpers, 2x2.5 single dumpers, 6x muffler flanges & 2 gaskets. The method to this madness will be to have a detachable tailpipe set up for when i go offroad! Yet another thing to undo But if it means not having to justify the money to the missus a third time well believe you me it's worth it So here's the core pics without the build up to the finished pics ok? So here's what iv'e done: Firstly cut the old mangled duellies off & weld on two flanges: Then to weld on the new duellies onto 300mm of stainless & flange it. followed by flanging the single dumpers as well: Then the final pic with my on road set up & the off road set up: #note my offroad set up is well behind the rear barwork this time almost to were my tank tapers up hopefully this should be adequate enough. Hopefully there is NO 3rd part to the series eh!! cheers muvit

Oh btw if your wandering how i bent em it was at appin the second time with club onall4s & mathew from 4wd action i decided to tag along to there club photo shoot. Man lots of fun was had that day with 2 soft rollovers, thankfully not me. Then 2 weeks after that i led 12 trucks in & around the tracks of mt walker along with mathew from 4wd action again this time to shoot our club. well my other club BigBalls 4wd club.com.au So all in all iv'e notched up 3 photo shoots with 4wd action so keep an eye out in the next month or so for the custom truck section. cheers muvit
