Hi fellas just thought i'd share the dyno readings from the mutroll as i just got her back from west end diesel services over in wetherill park nsw I have noticed a bit more off the mark - quicker acceleration & more top end torque which is handy for the hills in overdrive. Anyway unsure on the HP but before & after dyno was done on power & torque. 1st run was: MAX POWER 57.6 KW @ 3802 MAX TORQUE 245.7Nm @1158 RPM 2nd run after having a fiddle with pump & pyro etc on was: MAX POWER 68.4 KW @ 3948 MAX TORQUE 227.3Nm @2358 RPM Was a noticeable improvement but no way near what i was hoping for? so i'll bring it back in a couple of weeks for a touch up me thinks but failing that i'm gonna start saving for the v6 conversion BTW does anyone know the conversion to hp going off those figures cheers muvit

Here ya go Ray...
Power (kW) = Power (HP) x 0.7457
Power (HP) = Power (kW) x 1.341
edit: using your post..
1st run was: MAX POWER 57.6 KW @ 3802 (77.24 HP) MAX TORQUE 245.7Nm @1158 RPM
2nd run after having a fiddle with pump & pyro etc on was: MAX POWER 68.4 KW @ 3948 (91.72 HP) MAX TORQUE 227.3Nm @2358 RPM

11kw gain is a good start. Remember the figures you've got are at the back wheels and will be approx 75% of hp at flywheel. So you're looking at about 122hp now. Try increasing the fuel more - right up to the point it blows big black at 3000rpm, then come back a tad. Also a hefty diesel pump advance will help alot if not yet done.
Have you got a bigbore ex turbo? This helps alot with a good aftermarket filter like K&N.

can you confirm these torque figures. 245Nm at 1158 rpm sounds real good esspecialy at those revs but the after figure is lower at higher revs.

Hi fellas Cheers & thanks for the conversion elysian Mudgrip4 Forgot to add on the top of the dyno report it said figures taken at engine but they had it on the rollers when i saw it so i'm assuming the figures are at the flywheel due to the current performance but i'll ask when i take it for a touch up coz i'm still not happy with it. Also it must be a little more smokey coz it seems to be carbonizing the rear barwork something shocking. also about the bigbore pipe & k&N filter already have em if my mongrel bent 2 1/2 twin system constitutes as a big bore. hehehe Geeves I can confirm those are the figures as per the print out maybe its kinda like robbing peter to pay paul or you gain one place but loose in another?. Unless it was around the same at 1158 mark but drops off around 2358 U think cheers muvit

Don't forget also - if those figures are quoted from the "max" section written on most dyno sheets, then they are feeding you max power, not max torque like you are talking about there. Go back to the dyno sheet and read off what the max Torque was by following the curve, then taking the highest point across to the scale (yeah, I know, you prob all know how to read a graph ) ~Crazy~ btw I'm following this with interest as I'll be doing a lot of this v soon! Keep it coming guys!
