will a petrol 2.6 89 rodeo bolt to a 82 or 84 rodeo diesel box or will a petrol 2.4 bolt to any of these???? who's done what thanks ;D

startor motor is on a different sides between the petrol & diesel 2.6 box will bolt on to a g161 motor so i think all petrol's are the same

ok will a 2.6 rodeo rwd engine bolt up to a usb17 box and are the clutches the same or different????my trooper is a usb16 so whats the difference between boxs

The box in the ubs 17 is basicaly the same as the ubs55 diesel except for the bell houseing having the cutout for the starter on the other side. The ubs16 had a differant box (some were 4 speed) but they both list the 2.6 engine So they should fit but a tape measure should tell. The earlier box had a single oil resivour and you were not meant to shift in and out of 4wd while moveing. What are you trying to achieve?

my trooper is a ubs 16 and the wreckers have a ubs 17 box they say some one tried to fit in there 87 trooper and it was different,i have a 2.4 in the trooper but also have a 2.6 rodeo engine so i think i can make it work they also have an unknown box that i can have to may have to change a flange on the transfer won't know to i get them and try.was seeing if anyone else had any knowlege to save abit of suffering hehe looking at different options ie theres a couple of diesel utes cheap for parts but have found a couple of petrol boxs now ;D
