Hi everyone my first post. I recently bought a Rodeo 2.8td cab chassis ,and as this is my first diesel, there is lots of things to learn. I already spent better part of the weekend replacing the fluids, and installing new cd player.I might need new fuel filter assembly and primer pump . Can anyone recommend wreckers or other sources of bits and pieces for Isuzu diesels. I am in Melbourne BTW. Thanks for any replies.

Why would you need the whole fuel filter assembly? Ive only ever heard of one breaking. The good news is that this item is common to a lot of other diesels ie toyota surf Go to your favorite filter supplier and see what othe vehicles use the same fuel filter These nearly all have the same filter housing/pump

I think what he probably means is the primer/water seperator - the diaphram in the primer goes and as the whole thing is a sealed unit you have to replace the lot. I bought one off eBay about 12 months ago for $40 from Sun Diesel at Springvale, Vic,. It was an after-market unit, made in China, but a lot cheaper than the replecement that Holden sells (was qouted about $120). Give them a hoy on their freecal no - 1800 111 570

You are both right. My fuel filter head inlet nipple has restricted diameter and bend in it ( it looks as someone unsuccessfully tried to remove it), and primer pump is not working. So i need both. I will try the shop in Springvale, is your aftermarket water separator/ pump working well?

The seperator/primer works fine - and much better than my old broken one ;D.
If the problem with your filter is just the inlet nipple you might be able to get a new one put in - I think they are only a snug fit & glued in anyway - talk to a diesel place and they should be able to point you in the right direction.
