Hello ,
Has any one tried to put the 4JG2T oil cooler on the 4JB1T engine ? I noticed the 3.1 oil cooler is taller but simmilar shape . Could this be better for a modified 2.8 ?

If you mean the oil to water cooler mounted with the oil filter then yes I have one on my 4JB1 I did this because it points the filter down and back at a 45 degree angle and that is very necessary when you have a 3" exhaust as you cannot get to the oil filter easily if at all. Only needs small mod to the water pipes to fit and you may have to mod your exhaust pipe too if you are using the standard pipe. Well worth doing as it makes it easy to do filter changes . Uses the same filter by the way.

Hi roga ,
Thanks for reply , yes I could understand that it would be better to acces oil filter , but did you noticed anything like cooler oil temp. ? My goal would be to have some what better oil cooling capacity .

I cant say I have but to be fair my Mu runs cool anyway,The larger exhaust made it cooler and more power. All things being even if the cooler section is larger which it is, then it must make a difference. How much I dont know sorry, If I had changed just that part I would have known but the exhaust was done at the same time.
