I am in the process of acquiring a 3.1 Trooper intercooler to fit in a 2.8 engine (pick up), I was jut wondering if it would work. I know a few things like having to rotate the turbo outlet but I am not sure what mounting requirements will be. I once had a Jap used 2.8 engine with a top mount intercooler and was hoping the arrangement will be the same.

Should be the same. What year pick up as some of the later 2.8 pick ups had the non adjustable turbo

thanks to you all, as Geeves said I am bit unsure about the turbo rotating on this one as it does not have ordinary screws with spanner type head but has the sunken heads that would require Allen keys and they look too rusted and may easily get damaged. I am still waiting for the intercooler anyway
