i took this route because its the coolest path to take unlike the in and out on the same side type where the cold air is headed up again from the exhaust of the turbo, am agree

Dani, thanks for the pic of the NKR motor, it might have solved a problem thats being floating around in my brain for some time, has to be an easier way to do a front mounted intercooler, though Conrads solution is way elegant. time to go check some stuff out. ;D Steve

Could I also suggest that the main bulk of the postage cost is probably the intercooler itself.
We could most likely do a group purchase of piping off you, and get the intercooler's in Australia (assuming they are the same chinese coolers that you can find on ebay?)
Would that be an option ?

Assuming that
a) Superturbocompound is okay with this b) We can source the same ebay coolers here in australia
Who else would be interested in doing this?
Could people list both that they are interested, and their location. It should work out cheaper to get everything posted from Borneo to 1 place, and then couriered out from there.
I'll kick off...
Yes I am interested, I live in Brisbane

I was planning on doing a custom front mount install.
Main things about Superturbocompound's kit ...
I don't like the join into the intake manifold as has been said. And I would rather have 2.5" piping.
Not sure what the custom job would cost. Need to do more investigation.
I may be interested, I live in Auckland, NZ.

no problem guys,i'll do the piping only if you want, don't need to be urgent about the bulk order because i have to redo some of the piping if its a mu,further more i'll look into 2.5 inch piping.but only from intercooler outlet to the inlet manifold,no promises...i need to negotiate with the wreakers if i can hire the half cut to the intercooler piping specifically the isuzu mu.

Before you go to far, we need to confirm that we can get the intercooler in Australia first.
I have contacted the manufacturer, just waiting on a reply from them.
Once that's done, I will get final numbers so you can estimate the postage costs etc & see if it is worthwhile doing.
Will try and get back to you within a week - just a matter of the manufacturer getting back to me first.
Thanks again for your assistance!
cheers

the wreakers have sold the mu with the 4jg2 engine so its going to be difficult to sell the 4jb1 unit to those running the 4jg2 engines,as for the 4jb1t ,the engine bay looks identical to the rodeo's.

So are you saying the kit you have made for your Rodeo/4jb1 should be identical to the MU/4jb1 that we have over here?
