Hi there,
I was reading through some articles on a Rav4 forum and there were a few people on there talking about grounding wires for the Rav4 engine ... some say it made a noticable difference, some said it didn't do much.
What about with a diesel engine ? I'm guessing it'll do nothing at since ignition is via compression and not spark plugs, but thought it worth asking :-)
Regards

This goes for any vehicle: If tiy have anytning that is rubber mounted-- ground it. Otherwise pointless. I had and 1981 VW Golf which had a carb rubber mounted and idled like a modified V8. Grounding the carb fixed it. In this case the fuel cut solenoid had no ground referance and coused rugh idle.

There is alway ground wires on an engine otherwise there would be no circuit for the starter. May mr Toyota cut some corners when they made the rav 4 buy leaving out the earth wires as well as the low box
