Alternator Belt Part Number

Urgent Assistance Needed

My 2.8L Turbo Diesel's Alternator Belt squeals loudly when the alternator has less than a 12 volt charge but when it reaches its norm at 14-16 volts it stops...

Obviously i need to replace it especially since it is at maximum adjustment but the belt is so old the part number has worn away.

So my question is if anybody knows what the part number the belt is or if anyone has changed one what other vehicle has the same one.

i had this problem except the last person that put it on put a slightly bigger one on:|

i just went to super cheap and looked it up in the belts part number book, was like $15 your looking for the holden rodeo with the 4JB1T (same as the mu)

Mine is a B38, that is a B section 38".... but your local pimply teenager at the parts store might have trouble with that like I did, telling me they don't make them anymore....and seeing to have trouble with the concept of converting to metric and giving me a new fang dangled modern metric one.... but anyway. If you don't want to take yours off and thereby can't drive down the road to get one. Take a tape measure, or a piece of string and tie it around the same belt path. You will then have a crude idiot checking tool before you leave the store wondering if the pimply teeanger has converted his clothes line at home to a metric length of clothes line

I have 2 belts here. The original is a Mitsubishi 8970629131 which was the original. The second is a Dayco 15a1040 but this belt was 1 size too long. It worked but once it stretched a little it wouldnt adjust
