After disconnecting the EGR units from the engine I have a bunch of tubes that I am assuming are now not doing anything.
There are a few that I know are needed to be kept and others that go places I cannot see.
What I would like to know is what pipes are required to be kept and what pipes can I dump?

remove and seal the pipes that attached to the egr valves leave the rest

But there are a shitload of them connected into some weird setup in the top right of the engine bay.
I am sure the australian model rodeo does not have all that stuff.

Top right?? That sounds like the brake booster. On mine everything was removed before I bought it so this is a little bit of a guess. On each EGR there was a rubber hose a couple of wires and a connection to a steel pipe that disapears round the back of the engine and connects to the exhaust manifold. The wires just get taped up and tucked out of the way. The 2 rubber pipes connect to a plastic thingy along with some other pipes next to the airbox. Cut these 2 pipes and seal the ends at the thingy or you lose vacume from brakes etc. The steel pipe can be cut away and welded shut. Everything else is not to do with the EGR and should be left alone

hi i was wandering if you had to retune the motor after installing the top mount coz it made no differance to performance infact ive lost 1/2 lb boost maybe pump mixtures need adjusting? any ideas thanks?.

Shouldnt need to retune. A problem that some top mounts suffer from is cloging with oil. Remove the intercooler block one end and half fill with kerosene. Block the other end and give a good shake. Drain dry and refit. Anouther thought would be that cooling the air charge is causing a pressure drop although your still getting the same amount of air in. Biggest gain is in lower exhaust temps

hi i cleaned it out but still no differance i was also wandering how to get rid of the black oil residue which line the piping from turbo pipe etc.. my question is the breather that comes out the rear rocker cover into a t piece then into inlet pipe & manifold must be the cause of the black gunk recycling itself around motor piping? is it possible to put a oil catch can or breather filter off the rocker cover pipe & block the other two off? would this fix grime prob at its source?

There is always some oil up around here. Unless oil consumption is high its not worth worrying about. Catch cans are described in detail in several other posts. Search function should find them
