Recently i put my 1987 bighorn in for a service.Simple procedure you,d think? I dropped off the truck in morning as y would to my mechanic. On my return he informs me he had a bit of trouble getting filter off and in doing so ripped a coolant hose around the filter. Now no problem with that you say?If there are any mechanics out there, who is responsible for this little bit of extra inconvenience, or more to the point responsible for the extra 1.5hrs of labour on top of the original job. Oh by the way he did offer me 80 cents discount for the piece of hose. Am i wrong in thinking there is something wrong with this picture.

I know those hoses well Mine rotted out causein several leaks. My thoughts would be pay for the hose not the labour providing he gave you the old hose back and it was beyond use by date. Fixing these hoses was one of the two times my local mechanic used the word "eventualy" on the job sheet. Obviously your mechanic hasnt had a lot of experiance with diesel Isuzus but knows now
