heres a curly one but im keen to try if anybody has any suggestions since my trucks modified and the air intake now resides on the opposite side of the engine bay from standard. and also due to the lack of space from upgraded intercooler an stock ARB safarisnorkel is kinda not going to be practical. i was at the taupo 1000 and laid my eyes on a rather nice looking 3 and 3/4 inch stainless steel one fitted to a range rover. the only issue i think i might have in fitting a custom piece like this is the fact you cant really mount anything to the a pillars as the door frame is there.. any constructive suggestions idea's radical or not would be apprieciated.

Auto bend in CHCH might be your best bet They do make metal snorkles for a variety of trucks and should be able to make there version for the mu with all the hard bends reversed. Otherwise look at other trucks with snorkles on the right and find one with the right windscreen angles to fit Maybe Terrano etc. Most snorkles are just screwd to the A pillar Theres plent of meat there for a few screws. If your not too worried about looks there is always flexi pipe. Looks Rangi but works well

im in the prosses of fitting a terano one to my mu which fits quit well (but not perfect) but anyway the terano one is for the passanger side.
with attaching it to the piller, you need a small plate bent that fits under the door frame and screws into the piller, you might need to cut a small amount of the rubber seal out to fit it.
im going to be finnishing off mine this weekend so ill take a pic of how mine mounts to the piller for you
