I am having some issues that I thought someone might help me to correct easily and cheaply!!!!!
When i am driving along in my mu at around 2000rpm and go into cruise mode (no not cruise control) by releasing the accelerator and reapplying foot on accelerator to maintain speed only not to accelerate I am getting a noticeable flat spot during which time the engine seems to die a bit then it comes back with a vengance a little while later spewing out lots of white smoke then it is fine again
It only appears to do this at 2000rpm in 2nd at 20 kmh and in 3rd at 2000rpm at 40kmh but not at any other times!!!! PLEASE HELP ME TO FIND OUT WHY!!!!

It sounds a little like turbo lag to me. Not something I experience in my MU which has a 3.1, but I believe the 2.8 doesn't come onto boost as early. Only other things I can think of are 100% guessing, so I'll be quite so I don't sound too stupid Welcome to the site by the way! Graham.

why release the throttle then reaply. Just let the throtle up slowly till the speed is steady. This does sound more like a fuel problem . Give all the likages on the outside of the fuel pump a quick spray with crc or similar If this doesnt help a talk to a diesel specialist might be in order. I doubt it is anything too expensive

Well I have been informed it could be the injector pump!!!
So it could be very costly - may just be a part inside that has ceased (or deceased) so i will take it to local diesel spesh person!
