i replaced my fuel filter about 1000 km ago. since then i have had to constantly pump the fuel through as it has drained after it has been turned off for about half an hour. it appears as though the fuel is leaking out of the 5mm or so clear hose. i have checked the seals at the bottom of the filter and the smaller one in which the hose attaches to that screws into the base of the trap and they both appear to be fine. any ideas?

There is a tap built into the into the assembly at the bottom of the filter which must be part open or faulty if fuel is getting into this pipe. Your meant to drain the filter though this pipe and also perodicaly drain any water out but with modern fuel this is rarely needed.
