Hi Ive just brough a 2.8TD Mu with a stuffed motor and have found another stock motor to swap into it... Are there any tips I should know or anything I should look out for in doing this? or anything to make life easier in general Ive done a few swaps in both FWD and RWD cars but this is my first try at playing with a 4x4 or a Diesel Thanks heaps in advance Dave

If they are both the same same trans there shouldnt be much drama but do remember everything is bigger and heavyer than anything else youve worked on. Lable everthing you disconect.

Finanly picked up the truck last weekend after being away for a few weeks was driving it home and found out that the insides of the motor didnt feel like staying inside the motor so there is a hole in the sump almost big enough to put my head in so its going to be time to put the new motor in this weekend I think lol The new motor showed up and looks good but they have taken everything off it almost so Ive just got a long block with an intake manifold, nothing else... They even took the flexy plate So I need to know the right torque for the flexy plate bolts or should I just lock tite them and do them up RFT?? Also any tricks to getting to the bell housing bolts at the back of the motor theres lots of room everwhere else just not much at the back of the motor sadly thanks again in advance
