92 mu 2.8t , black smoke on accel. gutless. Have checked all hoses pipes secure and air cleaner new . Good idle , no oil leaks anywhere, suspect wastegate seized or pump worn or req injectors . Done 175k , ok on fuel and oil. Anybody had same?

Sounds like your turbo might have popped to me. Was it getting noisy at all?? Does it still spin freely if you pull the intake pipe off?

Will check turbine by hand , do hear it spin up tho, and no blue smoke from worn seals . Appears to be overfueling as exhaust pipe is sooty and black. Thanks will get under bonnet.

If the waste gate was seized on the turbo it would be boosting full and the black smoke wouldn't be there, sounds like the injector pump.
