I have read some of the the past forum and hope that this forum will help mine and my wifes sanity
We have an Isuzu Wizard 98 with 4XJ1 3.0 Turbo Diesel which has done 82,000Kms. A week ago my wife after having just refueled drove the car and it just stopped while driving, she was able to restart the car immediatly. This happened a few times (mainly when under idle at a stop) but would restart. I tested the car when she got home and it started up first time and ran for 15 mintes under idle then just stopped. I restarted it and it did it again after a few minutes
We have taken to dealership who are agents for Holden/Isuzu and who have previously done the Injector Recall about a year ago and also replaced the Oil Sensor Hareness (oil rail pressure sensor leaking into the injector wiring hareness)
The Tech 2 computer is not logging a fault code in the ECU (vehicle been driven several times to find fault but nothing showing up). The following has been done so far
- change oil (Mobile 1 5w 30), filters, replace fuel filter, bypass filter
- checked low and high pressure oil supply to injector rail - OK
- disabled burglar alarm system (aftermarket)
- checked fuel lines for air leaks
Only option appears to be the "try" things until fault found. Maybe only option but very expensive and timely.
I am hoping someone out there either knows of this fault or can help us regain our sanity
