I double check tonight. The oil is dexron2. Its a very good idea to drop the sump and replace the filter at the same time.

Wrong sump!!! Auto trans also has a sump and there is a filter inside it Only filters on engine are air (easy) fuel (almost easy) oil (fun) Oil filter for engine is at right rear of engine and easiest to change with the wheel off. I did my last on in under 10 min but have had 10 years of practise. Dont know any tricks with the auto as mine is manual

ready to be confused! From dry the auto holds 11.4 liters and the xfer case 1.1 liters. Drain and refill is 4.5 and 0.8. I dont know how these figures are affected by removing the pan and filter I can send you a copy of the manual for the auto if you want but at 4.7 meg it wont go to your hotmail. If you want it please send me an email to alan dot geeves at xtra dot co dot nz

Was going to do this myself, but then again, it's not expensive. Got a quote today, and they only want $140 for a full flush (I am supplying the filter kit).

Update: Had the service done today. Charged me $121 for a full flush of the fluid. I paid $56 for the kit (GFS456) from Repco.
Drives much better now.
