Hi all was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the dyno figures are for a 92 ucs55dw motor, am going to get my engine flushed by this new machine that is out and am going to get a dyno reading before and after, but i would like to know what the figures are for a stock standard truck, i wish i had of done it before i started modifing it!!
thanks all,
John.

The 81kw Alan notes is at flywheel. Dyno experts say 25-30% power loss if you take reading at rear wheels as does a dyno. So expect maybe 60kw from dyno. Figures also will depend on age/condition of motor, mods you have done, quality of our diesel etc.

Thanks guys, that gives me a good idea, but if anyone has had their standard 2.8 mu on a dyno i would love to know what readings you got. according to a g-tec meter evem just turning the boost up 5psi gives me an extra 10 hp, so i would love to know what these motors are standard.

My MU(auto 4jb1) When it was a total stocker made 56.5hp on a dyno dynamics dyno at "PITS". Just for the sake of it I put an extra 3psi of boost into it to see what it would do and I made an extra half horsepower. So I set the boost back to standard.

That reading you mention should have been 56.5kw not hp - about right at rear wheels for standard vehicle.
My 4jb1T produces 85.5kw (114hp) at rear wheels on a reputable dyno. This is about 114kw or 152hp at the flywheel, though it has improved further since addition of a K&N filter. Slightly higher than the fairly late model electronic injected 3.0 Prados - and wthout winding up turbo. So don't worry about any low hp issues - the 4jb1T is very easy to tweak if you need more. Mine has done about 50,000ks now since performance tuning (up to 180ks) and motor running very well.

I don't need any more hp, i break enough stuff just cruising as it is, just wanted some figures to see how much i have actually gained from all of my mods and if it has been worth it, if not then i've had a heap of fun trying!!! Thanks very much for your imput guys, i rang the guy that does the engine flushes down here and he said he was flat out till after christmas so it won't be till then that i get to find out, so stay tuned for the results!!

The reading was in hp. Remember it is an auto(normally more drivetrain loss through an auto). Matty's dyno reads about 13-15% lower than most of the other dyno dynamics dyno's in south east queensland.
