When i replaced the air filter recently i coudlnt help notice the airbox seemed overly complicated. If anyone could tell me why there is a hole in the middle of the place where the air filter sits, and also why there is a hole in the tubing just before the air moves into the box. These are shown in the pic below. I can see there is an extra plastic bit on the side of the airbox, and I have no idea waht that does but one/both of these holes must feed into/out of that. (not shown in pics) Also i noticed that before the air goes into the box there is yet another branch it can flow down, into another plastic box of some sort. I have no idea what this is for, and cant see what its connected to. It makes me want to rip it all out and stick a K&N pod on (dont do that much real offroading (i.e river crossings)) If anyone could enlighten me on what the purpose of these things are that would be great, thanks.
