Is there a simpler way than to remove the aiurcon and power steering belts before pulling off the aleternator wheel etc? just that the aircon and power steer belts are an absolute arse toi fiddle around with!!!

easier way? just loosen the 2 14mm bolst on the front of the power steer pump then loosen the nut at the rear of the pump. then wind out the long bolt in the front of the pump bracket remove belts Instal is reverse. Under 2 minuites each way. Alternator belt is a little harder

took me ages to get the aircon and power steering belts off and new ones on!!!
apparently my car (from japanese cd rom) never had aircon fitted when it came into NZ!!! So it has been put on afterwards - I was thinking of removing aircon anyway so i can pop a K&N immediately next to the Turbo inlet pipe like they do on TRD and RALLIART race cars

If you play in rivers do not mount the air cleaner there!!!! You will drown the engine (read $2500 for second hand engine in not as good condition as yours currently is) Keep the air inlet as high as you can preferably a snorkle.

it is the ute!!!
2.8dt (4JB1-T) manual with manual hubs - runs a bit low i reckon - only 895mm off ground to under the guards - esp annoying now as i keep going onto harder and harder tracks and keep twisting or dragging the step rails (horrible chrome cosmetic ones!!)

sounds like somebody did a motor change as the ute's never come out with a diesel engine
