Has anyone played with the front round rubber adjusters, or the mid ones (if adjustable!) to get rid of bonnet vibration?

I put a post up recently about bonnet vibration, I found out mine originated from the two bolts on the drivers side that bolt the hinge into the bonnet. One was stripped slightly and allowed a movement in the corner. I just replaced them with new bolts. Never played with the rubbers at the front but mine don't vibrate there. J

I found that the front rubbers are of a spiral screwing/out type and if you screw them in (smaller) when you close the bonnet the front goes down further, the bonnet then pivots on the middle rubbers thereby lifting the hinge end. Of course unscrewing the front rubbers (larger) ends up pushing the bonnet down at the hinge end. This was causing the vibration which seems to have stopped since I made the front smaller - touch wood.

I found that the thread on the front bonnet rubbers had stripped and the whole bonnet was vibrating. I also noticed that the bonnet wouldn't pop up when the hood release was used inside the cab. As a short term solution I wound the rubbers to where I thought they should be and filled in the gap with RTV sealant. had to let it cure for a day with the bonnet up. Has worked well so far, will now look to source new rubbers.
Cheers, A K.
