I have heard that the oil flush products that you get in a bottle are to be avoided, as they can damage the engine. Does anyone know who in Auckland has one of those professional engine flush machines used on commercial vehicles?

I have heard of instances in which crud loosened by oil flush bottles has blocked the lines to the turbo. Best answer is to use a good diesel oil and never forget to change at 5000k but if you have inherited a problem then some people have used lesser quality oils and changed them far more regululy ie 1000k till it starts to clean up. My oil was quite dirty when I bought my bighorn even though it was newly changed by the dealer now 80000k later the oil is cleaner at the end of its life than the new oil was then
