I have a 3.0 diesel and so has a friend. He had his specially tuned by a mechanic in Glen Eden, Auckland, (no longer there) and his vehicle has no turbo lag and makes mine feel sluggish. Can anybody point me to a mechanic in Auckland who knows how to complete this tuning.

Only suggestion is look in the yellow pages for diesel specialists and try those that say they work on Caterpilars first. Cat had a hand in the design of these injectors and you need special diagnostic gear to set them up.
I trust you have the right oil in it as to thick an oil will cause this + hard starting correct oil is 5w30 synthetic diesel oil
