4JX1 Throttle Responce

Hiya, Just wondering if any other 4JX1 users have a prob with a jump from idle to around 1500 rpm with nothing in between.

If I very carefully move the throttle from idle, the revs hunt up and down until I move it a bit further then its fine.

I havnt tried to track anyone down yet that has a diagnostic unit for these engines.

some holden dealers have the diagnostic machine but no garentees they have anyone who knows how to turn it on. Otherwise try some of the trucking places This injector system is also used on some caterpiller engines and ford v8 truck engines so it could be worth a crack.
