Holden or spare parts retailer should be able to find out. I had to change my clutch piston last week and said it was for a 96 Jackaroo 3.1 TD. Perfect fit. The Jack hose would be the same as MU. Cheers

Jack hose would be the correct Dia but the design might be different due to the shape of the engine bay and the dist to the radiator support panel!!
I always use Rodeo gear for the engine accessories etc and they are a perfect fit...but the 3.1MU changed the radiator to a plastic tank one hence if a Rodeo one doesnt fit your radiator that would be why!!!! I have the 2.8 radiator and rodeo hoses fit perfectly!!!!

I used a Rodeo hose on the 2.8 bighorn Only problem was it was 20mm too long or 2 min with sharp knife. The oposite way round ie 20mm shorter would still of fitted ok

Thanks for the info on the hose, Having over heating problems. Replaced the hose & installed a wire in the hose to stop constriction this did not help. Put flushing agent through the cooling system that has not helped . This is starting to P#^S me off, got a price to dismantle the radiator & clean the tubes & replace $270.00 no warranty or $500.00 to make a new one. If some one has any ideas for me before i spend the big $'s that would be fantastic. Dave

have you checked the viscus fan is working correctly. Injector timing can also cause overheating. Have you made sure the radiator fins are not blocked with mud. A radiator specialist should be able to test a radiator for blockages before pulling it to bits good luck

Thanks Have done a complete clean of the radiator did remove lots of crap from the lower part of the radiator. How do you test the viscus fan? was thinking of puting a fixed fan in its place. have not thought about the timing.

Viscous fan should turn with some resistance by hand when cold and with more resistance when hot (by hand with motor stopped) You can buy replacment fluid for them but I dont know where or how to replace it.

I know you said you cleaned the radiator. Was that between the aircon radiator and the engine radiator.Thats a great place to trap mud and can't be cleaned properly without removing one of the radiators. The engine one is the cheaper to refill.Aren't you able to get the radiator recored.Cost me about $300 for a recore.

ME too, cost about $300 or a recore in the middle of Aust (Alice Springs) NATRAD without shopping around!!
A recore IS a new radiator, they only use the top and bottom tanks from the old one!
Overheating is a whole engine process, it all must be spot on and usually isnt just one thing!
As said before timing and over fuelling is a huge one for overheating, but then again so is a blocked radiator or slipping clutch fan.
Any radiator shop can flow test you radiator and let you know of the blockage rate, prob a good start for any heating probs!
Is the fan shroud still on? These make a huge difference for cooling!
Thermostat is good? Have you removed and tested it? You just need a thermometer and a kettle!!
Clutch fans can be serviced, they get cleaned and fresh oil filled, Berrigan Diesel do it for aboout $100 I think but they wont be alone. The oil you can buy at Toyota or Natrad bout $20 for a small vial.
Goodluck with it mate!
Matt.
