Hi to all. I have just replaced the time belt on my 94 3.1TD MU. The timing light on the dash is still on and I understand that the dash instrument cluster has to come out to reset the warning light. I removed the front panel with the the wiper & light switches ok and undid the two self tappers securing the cluster to the body but could not get the instrument cluster to move. Are there more screws to remove? Can I remove more of the dash surround to get access to the rear of the cluster? Has anyone else done this and had the same problems I'm having? If so, how did you solve it. Thanks in advance, AK

There is a single screw to the RHS, (I think from memory) of the steering wheel as you sit in front of it. Get a long philips screw driver and lay on your back in the drivers foot well. Using a torch shine it up underneath the Steering wheel where you can see all the way to the base of the instument cluster and you'll see a small gold screw. Magnetic screwdrivers are really handy for this one. J

Well have had a go and found two screws under the dash. Managed to remove the dash only to find that there was no toggle on the back of the dash. So-oo, I did what any good mechanic would do and pulled bulb out. Thanks again for your help Justin. Andrew, I saw on an earlier post that you had the same problem. Did you resolve it any differently? Cheers, AK

Just had a look at mine and you need to remove the cover below the wheel to see the screw. Once that's out the cluster will be free but held by the speedo cable. If you reach behind the unit and grab the base of the cable it has like a push and rotate bayonet clip arrangement. Push and twist that, and the unit should come out ready for the ksw switch over. J
