I have a 1999 Isuzu MU with the 3.0 litre turbo diesel engine. I purchased it in Cyprus as a Japanese second-hand import, exported it to Russia where I now live and it is approaching the time when I should be thinking about replacing the timing belt. I do not have an Owners Handbook nor a Workshop Manual. The VIN Number is UES73EW4108809 and the engine number 4JX1537924. Could someone please tell me the part number of the timing belt, preferably an Isuzu timing belt? What other components should my Russian mechanic replace whilst fitting the timing belt; bearings etc.? Anyone know a reliable spare-parts agency who would ship to Russia?
Thanks in anticipation,
Jeff Gordon.

The manual is easy as there is a copy in a gmail account you can get. go to gmail.com login as isuzunz password 4jb1turbo click on all mail you want the attachments off the 8 emails marked frontera place these in the same folder and download a copy of izark from a free software site. use izark to open the first file and it does the rest creating a large pdf file that is a copy of the factory manual. Getting parts to you might be easier from one of the European isuzu clubs They will be more used to shipping stuff to Russia. try these people www.itocuk.co.uk/hope this helps

I have accessed the gmail, engine manual files but only find 6 there marked Frontera. I have downloaded the first 2 [number part1 and part2] but they will not open with either Izark nor 7-Zip. I get a message from within Adobe Reader 7 that the files are corrupted and that 'error 14' applies, whatever that is? Any ideas as to how I proceed? Thanks, Jeff.

The frontera files have been restored so should work now. When I created them I used a programme called 7zip so if izark doesnt work try that. Its also free
