my turbo looks as tho its on its way out.. and rather then spending 2k buying a new one or rebuilding the current one im lookin at getting a 2nd hand one off another car...
does anyone know what flange the turbos are on 2.8td mu's??

Sorry to have missed this post, hopefully you have an answer from somewhere by now. From my understanding the 2.8 turbo flange is the same as the 3.1 turbo, they're basically IHI turbos, I think RHF5s. As I understand it, these come in differnet sizes but similar flanges. Talk to a turbo specialist, ( yellow pages) who should be able to put you right. Have a look through some turbo posts ( do a search), there are some members from brisbane who've had turbo work done who could help you here. try a PM to some of them. HTH, cheers, Steve.
