Cooling hoses to Fuel pump?

I noticed there are two smaller cooling hoses that go from the feed and return of the heater to the fuel pump. Can anyone hazard a guess why?

I would hazzard a guess Pete!!

I believe there is a plunger at the other end of the assembly that moves out as the temperature in the hoses increases! It pushes directly on the other end of throttle lever in the FIP. So I would guess its to make sure the engine idles a tad higher as it warms up or something similar!
Prob a little more involved that that but Im inside after fitting my PCV oil filter and I so cant be bothered going out again to see exactly what it does, but I will next time Im up!!

Edit - Nope doesnt push on the throttle lever acts on the roller plate and advances the timing when cold.

That would explain my sudden occassional idle rpm changes then

Sounds like a bloody good guess to me. On occasion my idle varies about 150 rpm also. So, it could be that.

It's called the CSD or Cold Start Device!
