Only place these circuits are anywhere near each other is the steering colum Good luck I hate these faults as you can spend weeks looking then 2 minuites fixing.

just for the record .I couldn`t find the fault so i went to a auto electrican and the fault was in the engine bay . the loop had been installed from new underneath the radiator and had crushed the loom causing a short. I was luck to find this befotre it caught fire .BE AWARE.

Certainly not a typical problem but similar things arnt unheard of. My work corolla had to be towed the the garage 5 times in a 2 month period for the fuel injection fuse blown. Turned out that the fuse also supplyies the fuel pump in the tank and where it goes though a floor xmember under where the rear seat would normaly be they had missed the grommet and it had chaffed through. Im glad I didnt have to pay that bill. Hope it wasnt too expensive
