Hi all,
my power aeriel doesn't go down as well as it used to. Sometimes it stops a few inches short of the bottom and sometimes it gets to the bottom but the motor keeps whirring and a clicking noise occurs. It normally stops after a few seconds, but a couple of times I've had to go push on it before the motor stops.
I've sprayed it with WD40 & rubbed it in, but that didn't help at all. Does anyone have ideas on what might be wrong or what I can do to it? Would some graphite powder be better than WD40?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Graham.

Graham - sounds like it's got slightly bent - once bent its gonna jam - had same problem - replaced mast with OEM one for NZ Repco cost $NZ56 - easy job to fit - if it's not causing any problem just leave it - if it is still running then u need to check contacts in housing cause it should shut off if it jams

cant help with the color as mine had the worst wireing i have ever seen (push connecters int chocky block into sterio) so i have 3 colors for each,
i had the advantage of just unpluging each wire from the chocky block and catching the areal before it dissapered - - now i have a pull up areal

I can't remember but I'll hazzard my first guess as blue and second as orange (if there's an orange one, check that it's not 12V + first)
