Hi All Re '92 MU auto My battery charge needle drops approx 2 volts when the indicators turn on for each flash on both left and right turning. Wipers, A/C, headlights, brake lights etc don't cause a flicker. This has been happening since I bought it last November without any problems, but like the old saying"a stitch in time is worth two in the bush" Any ideas what would cause this? Many thanks Ian

Mine does the same thing, I doubt that it means anything as mine has been doing it ever since I got the car 3 years ago. I'm not worried about But I could be wrong.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like a common problem, and won't cause any drama's. I originally thought a bad earth on the indicators, but as it happened on both left and right indicators, it would probably need to be the flasher unit, but this apparently shares a common earth with other things that don't seem to cause any faulty symptoms. Cheers

Yep I can also vouch for this one. I didn't notice it until I put my alternator back on after the pulley came loose causing an awful racket (if only I knew this was all it was before I pulled it off !!!). Any time the indicators are on the volt meter flickers. Other than that it doesn't seem to worry the Mu so in turn it now doesn't worry me :-)
