My right hand indicator switch keeps playing up, and now mostly doesn't work and I've been driving around handsignaling, which is a pain as the window is also playing up, but thats another story.
I've priced a replacment from a wrecker, a gold plated one it seems. $200 incl GSt here in Christchurch.
Can any one offer and other solutions? A $3 toggle switch from and electronics store maybe?

It has to self cancell so toggle switch would end up a little difficult. Is it the same as the bighorn Hizumulux is wrecking a 90 bighorn down your way

When my right hand indicator started playing up I firstly thought of faulty relay coz it was sounding like relay jamming so I replaced it and everything was good for couple of days but problem returned again.I had nothing else to do but go to auto sparky.First thing he has done ,he baypassed indicators switch and everything was working perfectly. He charged me one working hour rate to pull out steering wheel, to get to switching asembly,to clean andpolish switch contacts and put everything back together. My turn signals are working perfectly for more than one year after that.
Cheers , Dragan

'pull out steering wheel, to get to switching asembly,to clean andpolish switch contacts and put everything back together."
yeah, thats the conclusion I'm comming to, and I should have said before that I've done that twice already. So I thought time to replace it.... there are a lot of miles on my truck and that switch is cooming up on 250,000 km genuine and I know it's been clocked before it got to me... all indications are another 200,000 km.
