greetings all,
have just finished washing the engine bay of my 98 wizard (about the only time its ever been cleaned i think)
it looks really good, however, i think i may have got water somewhere dangerous.
when i turn the key on the big black relay closest to the fuse box keeps flicking really fast, and when i turn the key further to start it everything dies.
I have been having problems with my battery latey and am wondering if its shagged and in need of replacement.(dont know if this could be the cause for the relay going mental)??
have i got water in the relay and its buggered it? or could it be the stuffed battery?
any help appreciated
cheers
Nathan

anybody have any ideas??
charged the battery over night, and blew compressed air all around relays and electrical componants. still doing the same thing, however i do beleive the battery is buggered. it can only just wind the windows up(after a full day on the charger)
does anyone know what that relay is?? starter?

My money says battery. Or less expensivly corroded conections on the battery. If thats the 3 liter diesel they are hard on betterys as they keep the glow plugs on for up to 10 minuites after the engine starts foe emmissions reasons
