Hi all, just wondering "if possible" to remove the relay option off my fog lights so that it will operate when I press the swicth WITHOUT THE LIGHTS ON. Reason being that I wish to move these wires to the rear and set up as camping lights/extra reversing lights. Do i just remove the fog relay unit or is there more to do Cheers Chris

You need to cut the wire at the switch that goes active when the lights are turned on then just hook it up to a permeant active wire

Thanks pig, Just clear it up for me done make a new power line from the battery to the switch (with fuse) or from switch to the to the lights. I pulled out my switch and theres a lot of wires to work with Might also do the same (rig an active switch for a any future projects) with the old engine warming switch that doesn't do anything any more as I removed the exhaust part of it. thanks again

Yep use a line from batt to switch, if your wires are the same colors as mine just cut the wire with the circle around it, if not use a test light or multimeter and test which wire has power with the lights on, there may be 2 if the switch is iluminated, don't cut the ilumination wire. It should be the same as the picture

Pig, you're an absolute legend, THANKS for the picture and info ;D ;D.
I will get onto this ASAP (re-wire the fog light switch) now that I got the info. (I assume that its the red wire,..... no worries I'll use the multi meter.
If I were to do the same with the engine pre warming switch (Same set up, i think) which wire would be the one that comes out of the switch to power any future devices? (In my case a water pump for hot water shower unit,..hehe) I will run a new power supply with fuse as you mentioned before.
Cheers mate Chris

You only need a small power feed to the fog switch because it only feeds a relay in the engine bay you could just tap into the permeant power wire for the radio as it is already fused With the engine pre warming switch ill have to see what would be the best way to hock it up
