Hi there. Just got a Bighorne 2.8 TDI Auto. The OVERDRIVE OFF light on the gearstick consol flashes after about 2 minutes. Any ideas. I suspect it is something to do with the fluid. Also does the seat heater meant to heat up your arse. Mine only does the lower back.

The flash is a trouble code

Yep it is the round speedo model and yes the brown wire was off, but the light still flashes after you have driven about 1K.

OK. I have figured it out. The brown wire was off on the back of the speedo. Buy putting it back on it has stopped the light flashing while driving. It now flashes when at idle. This is due to the oil pressure in the auto trans being low. Maybe an oil change and some additive will fix the problem.

Hmm. Checked my trouble code, and it confirms a faulty speed sensor. Problem is, I cannot even see a brown wire behind the cluster. Is it part of one of the wiring looms that plug in, or a separate wire?

I have fixed the overdrive light flashing problem, I think that it is due to low auto trans fluid pressure. I have since replaced the tourque convertor and the fault has dissapeared.
