Broken Speaker

My drivers door speaker has stopped working - actually as I've only had my Mu for a little over 2 months, not sure if it ever worked!!! Have verified by plugging into passenger side connector and still doesn't work.

But, questions is: Are all Mu door speakers the same?? I have a 96 Mu with the newer dash, are the door trim & speakers the same as with the earlier dash type??

Easiest to get one from a wrecker, I feel.

From my experiences, Speakers come in sandard sizes, If you read the back of the speaker and make sure the ohms and Wattage are the same you should have no trouble, dosent really have to be the same size so long as you can physically make it fit..

Best bet would be take the speaker to Dick smith or Jaycars and match it If not most car stereo shops should be able to help. It would be best to replace both front speakers so they sound the same but not essential.
I wouldnt muck round with second hand speakers unless there is no choise They dont cost that much new
